What is an EPC?

 

An Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) measures the energy efficiency of a property.

 

Why do you need an EPC?

 

From April 2018 it has been a legal requirement for every building being bought, leased or rented to have a valid EPC (rated E or higher). Without a valid EPC the property will be deemed unfit and appropriate measures will need to be carried out to gain validation.
